AMPOULE BLISTER PACKING MACHINE - ROTARY FORMING

Service Overview

True Pack Machinery’s Ampoule Blister Packing Machine – Rotary Forming is built to handle delicate glass ampoules and vials while ensuring high packaging integrity. The machine uses thermoformable base films such as PVC or PVDC, which are unwound and heated before passing through a rotary forming station that creates uniform, deep cavities matched to ampoule diameter and height. This rotary forming principle provides consistent wall thickness and strong tray rigidity, critical for protecting fragile containers during handling and transport.

Filled ampoules are loaded into the formed pockets—either manually or via dedicated feeding arrangements—where they are held firmly in position. A lidding material, typically aluminium or printed foil, is then applied and heat‑sealed over the tray, creating tamper‑evident, moisture‑resistant packs suited for hospital and export markets. The line is driven mechanically with an electric drive and operates on a 3‑phase 440 V supply, offering a nominal capacity around 100 pieces per minute, making it ideal for medium‑scale pharmaceutical production.

The machine frame and product‑contact parts are made of stainless steel, giving a heavy‑duty yet hygienic, rust‑proof construction that aligns with GMP expectations. Operators control parameters such as forming temperature, sealing temperature, and indexing speed through a Human Machine Interface (HMI), enabling quick adjustments and recipe recall for different ampoule sizes. Packs are typically cut into cards or trays at the end station, ready for manual packing or integration with downstream cartoning solutions, while wooden‑box packaging and all‑India supply make the unit practical for installation across diverse pharma facilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is this machine used for?

It is used to pack glass ampoules and small vials into thermoformed blister trays for safe handling, storage, and transport in pharmaceutical applications

  • Which products can be packed?

The machine is suitable for 1–5 ml (and similar) glass ampoules and vials containing injectable liquids or vaccines, depending on tooling design.

  • What packaging materials are supported?

It typically uses PVC or PVDC film for forming the tray and aluminium or laminated foil as lidding material for sealed packs

  • What is the approximate production speed?

Rated capacity is around 100 packs per minute, varying with ampoule size, cavity layout, and material thickness.

  • What forming technology does it use?

The machine uses rotary forming, where heated film passes through a rotating forming drum to create deep, uniform cavities suitable for ampoules.
